Well briefly, this first half of 2009 has been very productive .

I hung paintings in the creative arts center and 2 of them sold One of the 2 paintings that sold .

Also I sold a painting out of a restaurant that carries my work.

I won 3rd place in the texas bluebonnet and blues festival.     

I started and completed 50 paintings before summer. this was a personal challenge  posed to me ; after reading about people doing daily paintings and the results greatly added to my confidence in my skills as a painter.

I entered the Waxahachie plein air festival, but unfortunately  did not  win any ribbons , but knocked out a dozen small paintings .

I did win 1rst place that same weekend at the 2009 Bonham  annual art show , and the winning painting  sold.  Windy Day   6x8 oil 

I have submitted entries for the Bosque art conservatory show , and plan to enter two more shows this summer .

In the fall I also plan to paint at the Fort Worth Botanical gardens for the Camp fire plein air event .
